The gauntlets are difficult pieces to reproduce, but once you get them right they really make a difference. I used Sintra to form two clamshell pieces attached to hinges that wrap around my forearms. The pieces are held tight with lacing. Each gauntlet is built up using wood, epoxy putty, Sintra, and a variety of other materials. Plastic tubing is attached to each arm with a dowel that allows the piping to break away if it catches on foreign objects.
