I decided to throw a superbowl party after buying an HDTV set in december 2000. My small las colinas apartment wasn't much on size, but the free promise of watching the game in high definition and free beer was enough to convince some people to show up. The usual suspects were in attendance along with a few surprises -- chris mccarley was in town and even made an appearance. Unfortunately one of my former co-workers also threw a party, so the work crowd was split in where they showed up. This was the first and last party I threw in the apartment I loathed and loved, but it was memorable, even if the game wasn't. The baltimore ravens defeated the new york giants and no one in the crowd really seemed to care. We did however, float the keg and that was enough for most.
