After a successful webcast in dallas, the air force decided to broadcast a live q&a event from the ft. lauderdale air show in may 2002. I was the assigned art director for the job and got the free trip to sunny florida for the week. Jeff Erickson had just started at SixtyFootSpider and we became good friends over the course of the trip. After the webcast wrapped up, Jeff and I met Misty in miami for an extended weekend stay on our own dime. We tooled around south beach, miami and made the 4 hour drive down A1A to key west for the night. The next morning we drove back with a collective hangover and made tentative plans to go back again sometime. I hope we do.
